The Tunnel 03:19
It was as if she had know him forever but forever was only a week. She knew from the start that he'd play a part in the life that she wanted to lead. But while she saw in him a man that she loved she knew it would all end to soon 'cause they'd be apart not in distance of heart but in distance across the country. But there's a light at the end of the tunnel and he knows he's gonna make it through. There's a light at the end of the tunnel and she knows she's gonna get there too. There's a light at the end of the tunnel and they know they're gonna meet there... It was a few thousand miles from where she was where the man she loved had been. But he moved on to a city abroad though his heart was still where they'd met. And while he still knew it was hard for her too he was more than confident that one day they'd find that the stars would align and they'd be together again. Cause there's a light at the end of the tunnel and he knows he's gonna make it through. There's a light at the end of the tunnel and she knows she's gonna get there too. There's a light at the end of the tunnel and they know they're gonna meet there... Every time he calls hers up he always wonders if she's gonna answer. And every time she goes to pick it up she really hopes it's not the last time. Why should they worry if they know it'll all be alright? Why do they still question the path for the rest of their lives? Cause there's a light at the end of the tunnel and he knows he's gonna make it through. There's a light at the end of the tunnel and she knows she's gonna get there too. There's a light at the end of the tunnel and they know they're gonna meet There's a light at the end of the tunnel and he knows he's gonna make it through. There's a light at the end of the tunnel and she knows she's gonna get there too. There's a light at the end of the tunnel and they know they're gonna meet there soon.

Mind Wanders 04:38
Stare at the ground In the silence as you watch me from the kitchen Try to tell you What I should have when we first met last December But my mind starts to wander out of focus Stare at the ground In a meeting with no purpose on a Friday Drift into space As the chatter and delusion fade behind me And my mind starts to wander out of focus These days I’m feeling strangely fine Even though I know I could be anywhere but here Just light a spark inside my mind and let me float away To a better place Gently I play This piano for some people as they pass by Hands take control As I think of the solution to all problems And my mind starts to wander out of focus These days I’m feeling strangely fine Even though I know I could be anywhere but here Just light a spark inside my mind and let me float away To a better place Try to let go Of these feelings that consume me in the darkness Take a deep breath And refocus on the good things from the past year And my mind starts to wander out of focus

Reality 03:38
Six o’clock on the dot time’s running out For the plan that the man has made Five o three she’d agreed to meet him at her favorite restaurant And grab a bite to eat They had met on a set in 2003 Of a show where you know it won’t work out. He’d had fun and he’d won so she promised him her heart On national TV And he starts to realize That she won’t say hello anymore. And he starts to realize This too late And he starts to realize That her money her greed and her fame Are not what true love takes He decides makes up his mind to find love again In the same kinda way as before But this time he’ll do right ‘cause he’ll pick the winner and be with her for the rest of their lives Her name’s Sally she’s from Cali out by L.A. She’s the best beat the rest to win his heart that day But now he has found that he only hangs out with star struck girls And never has time for his future wife And he starts to realize That he won’t say hello anymore And he starts to realize This too late Yes he starts to realize That his money his greed and his fame Are not what true love takes

Alone, empty, lost, and broke, I wonder Will I have to deal with all of this much longer? Angry, isolated, scared, and lonely Oh God, how can I stop? Remember, you are my son and I will always love you In valleys deep and darkest nights surround you It’s by your side I’ll be when you call Father So cast all your fears and travel onward The world, it seems so empty, lost, and broke and I wonder Can we see the good and the truth amidst all the horrors? It seems the last thing we want is to love our brother Oh God, how can we stop? Remember, you are my son and daughters and I love you In valleys deep and darkest nights surround you It’s by your side I’ll be when you call Father So cast all your fears and travel onward It’s these thoughts They just keep running through my head for hours Like the hatred and the pain that engulf us Like the poverty and the disease and the war and the… And the… And the… And the… And… And… And… And I’ll remember, I am your son and I will always love you In valleys deep and darkest nights I’ll call you It’s by my side you’ll be when I cry Father So I’ll cast out all my fears and travel onward Yeah I’ll cast out all my fears and travel onward
